There are more captive tigers in the US than wild tigers in India

Education
|
We created activities that can be used by educators in their own classroom. These activities are modeled after Project Wild and include National Science Education Standards for K-12 students. Activities include the Sticky Stakeholder activity and the Tigers in the US debate.
We also provide in-person and virtual education experiences for K-12 and college students. |
Policy
The Big Cat Public Safety Act is an important piece of legislation that would end private ownership and illegitimate breeding of tigers and other big cats in the US.
Big Cat Rescue has made it easy for US residents to contact their government representatives in support of the Big Cat Public Safety Act. Click here to take action. Wild Tiger has created an online petition in support of the Big Cat Public Safety Act for people in India to sign. Until now, the voices of people from India were absent from discussions about captive tigers in the US. People from India have a right to be heard on issues related to commercial breeding of tigers, particularly because this activity encourages poaching. Take action today by signing the petition here and sharing it on social media with #TigersInAmerica. We have shareable social media graphics you can download here. |
